Heading to Pitt Law this morning for the 17th Transnational Commercial Law Teachers Meeting.
Looking forward to two days of discussions on “Transnational Commercial Law in Times of Change: The Challenges of Technology and Fragmentation and Opportunities for Reform” and to presenting my work on secured transactions, AI infrastructure and systemic risk, as well as payment systems, digital finance and economic participation.
Looking forward to two days of discussions on “Transnational Commercial Law in Times of Change: The Challenges of Technology and Fragmentation and Opportunities for Reform” and to presenting two papers examining how commercial law increasingly structures the technological, energy, and financial infrastructures on which contemporary economies depend: one on secured transactions, AI and data-center financing, electricity grids, energy infrastructure, and systemic risk; the other on payment systems, digital finance, financial inclusion, and the architecture of economic participation.
I am especially looking forward to reconnecting with longstanding colleagues, meeting new ones, and exchanging ideas across what promises to be a very rich program.
