A Thoughtful Initiative by Pitt Law’s Barco Law Library
During the 17th Transnational Commercial Law Teachers Meeting at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where I have presented two new papers on “Collateralizing the Future: Secured Credit, Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure, and Systemic Risk in the Digital Economy,” and on “Payment Systems as Legal Infrastructure: Digital Finance and the Architecture of Economic Participation,” the Barco Law team took the time to identify and display books authored or edited by the conference speakers and available in the library’s collection.
It was a thoughtful way to recognize the participants’ scholarship and highlight the library’s resources. I was pleased to see two of my volumes, Science, Technology, Policy and International Law and Artificial Intelligence, Governance and Sustainable Development, included in the display.
I particularly appreciated this initiative because it reminded me of the professionalism, dedication, and helpfulness I experienced firsthand during my years working at Pitt Law.
My thanks especially to Linda Tashbook and her colleagues at the Barco Law Library. Their work supporting research, teaching, and academic exchanges is an important part of university life, and it was a pleasure to see that same commitment reflected in this conference.
